Second Grade

     Students will review basic addition and subtraction facts. We will be practicing mental strategies to help us fluently add and subtract within 20. Mental math skills are highly encouraged and necessary for multi-digit addition and subtraction. By the end of the year, students should know from memory all sums of two one-digit numbers.

 

     We are using ORIGO Stepping Stones as our math resource. The students will have a journal to use in school. We will complete 12 modules this year focusing on number sense, addition, subtraction,  telling time, measurement, data, geometry, fractions, and money.
